Its head is bright red with a clean white chin which looks like a suit shirt. A black band wraps around the midsection—this “jacket” is where the “tuxedo” name comes from. Behind that, a red tail completes the look, making each fish seem dressed up for a special event.

Keeping the Tuxedo pattern strong takes extra attention. Breeders often remove fish that don’t match the red‑white‑black‑red design to make sure future babies keep the look.
