MEZZALAMA CRAMPON

Fast and durable: The Mezzalama crampon is at just 395 grams a super light hybrid racing crampon and was developed especially for discerning skimo athletes and alpinists.

On steep, icy, sections where you must carry your skis and for technical peak bagging, crampons are an absolute must for safety. Naturally, athletes prefer not to carry around a single gram too much in order to be as fast and efficient as possible.

The 10 point, fully automatic Mezzalama hybrid crampon is your first choice when you aim high. It conforms to ISMF regulations and with its materials combines the best of two worlds: The front is made of durable steel while the rear is made of lighter aluminum. That makes the crampon well-suited for use on mixed terrain or on rock, but is nevertheless still very light. Particularly practical: There is no difference between the left and right so you don’t have to spend time pondering anymore which is which. Fitting is easily and quickly accomplished based on sole length (260 to 333 mm), no tools needed. They can be attached to touring skis in seconds and guarantee a reliable fit without any play plus secure traction on ice, hard snow and icy rocks thanks to the steel cable. On the bottom of the front section, an anti-balling plate prevents annoying buildup of clumps of snow. The Mezzalama crampon comes standard as a fully automatic version, but if needed it can be converted quickly and easily to have a toe bail for a semi-automatic version. It comes in a practical hard case for well-protected transportation.
